Wayne Gretzky tied his childhood idol Gordie Howe record of 801 goals by scoring two goals on March 21, 1994. The record had stood since the 1990 season. Gretzky had an opportunity to break this idols record the two nights later in front of the home crowd on March 23, 1994 vs. the Vancouver Canucks. After receiving a power play cross-ice pass from Marty McSorley,'the Great One' buried his 61st goal of the season and 802nd career goal past Canucks goaltender Kirk McLean in the second period. Gretzky was met with a standing ovation and was surrounded by congratulatory teammates. There was a short ceremony following the goal to commemorate the achievement.

Relive Wayne Gretzky's recording breaking 802 career goal with this original VIP Loge ticket stub from the actual game, which has been beautifully hand signed by Gretzky himself across the front side in blue felt tip marker. The reverse of the ticket showcases an authentication hologram from Gretzky's former memorabilia company, WGA Authentics. Impressive! Fully authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
