Easily one of the most iconic music-based movies to ever hit the silver screen, Blues Brothers would achieve instant classic status shortly after it's box office release in 1980. based of a 1978 Saturday Night Live sketch between Dan Aykroyd & John Belushi, Elwood & Joliet would go onto make the sketch into something much bigger, a box office hit! The iconic image of the Brothers can be summed up with their black suits, glasses & of course the fedoras. Offered here is one of those famed fedoras worn during production of the Blues Brothers by Dan “Elwood Blue” Aykroyd. Obtained directly from Aykroyd by famed musician Jack Sperling. Sperling notes in his letter of providence that the hat was obtained during a “Jam session” with Aykroyd where he mentioned that the hat was worn during production. Letter of providence from famed musician Jack Sperling.
