Marc Bolan is most famous for being the front-man of English rock band T-Rex. He is often credited with helping to create the glam rock genre, with his unique stage presence and individual sense of style. Due to Bolan's untimely death at the age of 29 years old, Bolan memorabilia is extremely scarce and desirable.
Offered here is a one-of-a-kind handwritten lyrics by Bolan to the T-Rex song "Funky London Child." Written in blue ballpoint, the progression to the first stanza of the song can be seen as the written lyrics being offered are as followed " Ancient building cloaked in age, the fogy realms of a dickens page, school at 4 thru knoledge door, a Funky childhood in London." Most of those lyrics would make there way into the official song, with a bit of re-wording as the song as we know it goes as followed " Ancient belts and cloaked in age, the foggy relms are dickens pain, schools are not as fools, yeah, it all makes up the Funky London Childhood."
