A feminist icon, in addition to a bona fide rock ‘n’ roll legend, Joplin's voice—that gravelly, SoCo-soaked voice—epitomizes the capacity of a rare kind of greatness to translate pain into art. With an ability to grab her listeners through shear emotion & lyrics, Joplin to this day leaves many wondering what could have been if she didn't pass so suddenly. Often jumping from relationship to relationship with other well known musicians, Joplin wasn't approached often for autographs, leaving any offering to be considered ultra scarce in nature. This near-mint vintage 2" x 4" pink album page has been boldly signed by the 27 Club member in bold ballpoint with a sketch above the "J" in Janis. Overall in fine condition with scattered staining & discoloration.
