It is safe to say that no one, including the New England Patriots, thought Tom Brady would become the greatest quarterback to play the game when he was drafted 199th overall in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft. After introducing himself to New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, Tom Brady looked into Mr. Kraft's eyes and said, " I'm the best decision this organization has ever made." When starting Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe went down during the Patriots 2001 home opener against the New York Jets, Brady would get the chance to prove he was right.

Brady would make his first start as Patriots quarterback during the next game against the Indianapolis Colts, beating the Colts 44-13 in what was the first game in a bitter rivalry between star quarterback Peyton Manning and Brady. Brady would complete 13 passes on 23 attempts for 168 yards, taking the helm of the Patriots, a role he would occupy for nearly 20 seasons and six Super Bowl victories.

Offered here is a ticket from Brady’s first start as the Patriots starting quarterback against the Indianapolis Colts on September 30th, 2001. The ticket features the images of Lawyer Malloy and former Patriots great safety Tim Fox. The seating information is in black on white paper. The price of the ticket to see the debut of the NFL’s greatest quarterback? $47.00. The seats? Section 310, Row 29, Seat 39. The ticket comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA and is graded NM-MT 8.
