The scarce penmanship of Jefferson Davis, the President of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War, is presented. Davis’ cursive scripting and sentiment, “I remain yours respectfully, Jefferson Davis,” is Mint and has been neatly executed on a sheet (4-1/2” x 1-1/4” visible area) cut from a larger page and displayed with slightly smaller signature of Vice President Alexander A. Stephens as well as two photographs, nameplate and cachet picturing “Hon. Jefferson Davis, the Champion of the South.” Matted and framed to an overall size of 27” x 20”. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
