Casey Stengel would go on to have a long triumphant career in the Majors as both a player & manager spanning from 1912 to 1965. Stacking up eight World Series Championships along the way while being the only man to ever wear all four New York Major League club uniforms, Casey was a devoted New Yorker to say the least. As fond as Casey was for the five boroughs of New York City, he was the polar opposite for giving out autographs. Reluctant to sign, Stengel is often seen on vintage balls either in stamped format or as a clubhouse signature. For this reason single signed vintage baseballs such as this Official National League Giles sphere remain in high demand, bearing the legendary New Yorker's signature on the sweet spot in black ballpoint with the ball itself remaining in surprisingly good condition with only light toning. A true keepsake for any New Yorker who enjoyed the golden era of baseball in the 1950's-60's. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
