They wrote the songs while on retreat with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in India, taking a break from the celebrity whirl. When The Beatles returned from their retreat they came back with more great tunes than they could fit on a single LP, and competed fiercely during the sessions. With Paul, John & George swirling with ideas from the trip, each pushed for their imprint on what would later become "The White Album." The album didn't come without it's hardship as sessions became so tense that Ringo Starr quit the band in frustration for two weeks. Yet the creative tension resulted in one of the most intense and adventurous rock albums ever made. Adding to the allure of one of the greatest albums of all-time were four iconic 1968 John Kelly 8" x 10" photographs of each band member which have become in their own right a piece of Beatles history. Offered here is a superbly signed 8" x 10" color John Kelly White Album photograph of John Lennon in stunning red ballpoint. Lennon signed images in any format are an extreme rarity with color mediums being the most coveted in the hobby. Overall in fine condition with minor surface impressions. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity & grading from PSA/DNA.
