Legendary singer (1915–1959), revered as one of the greatest and most individual vocalists in the history of blues and jazz, who died from cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 44. Marvelous vintage 5" x 9" Christmas card signed & handwritten by Billie Holiday. Reads in full, "What's happening with my trunk sent lost and it was returned. Mush have trunk before New Years. Why no answer to my letter? Please call me or call me collect and let me know what's going on. I've got to have these things. Have a Merry Christmas, Lady Lay." Overall in fine condition with mild discoloration. While Billie Holiday signed items in any form are considered extremely rare, handwritten items such as this are nearly non-existent. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
