Presented here for your bidding consideration are a pair of signed documents--one each for Karen Carpenter and Richard Carpenter--8.5" x 13", both 6 pages, essentially identical in content, with Karen's document dated February 1st, 1978 and Richard's document dated February 1st, 1977. The singing duo both agree to work for their company, Ars Nova Inc., with both agreeing to receive a sum of 10% each for their services as performers under the stage name "The Carpenters". Ars Nova served as the Carpenters business entity, representing the group for all business aspects related to their musical career. Both documents are well preserved, with Karen signing at the conclusion of her document in blue ballpoint and Richard signing his respective document in black felt tip pen. In excellent condition.
