This letter, dated June 16, 1955, was sent to President Dwight D. Eisenhower's older brother, Mr. Edgar Eisenhower, in regards to a gift received from him at the White House. Reads, in part: "Word has reached me at our 'relocation' site that three large Alaskan crabs (cooked) have been received at the White House. Mamie and I are planning to have them for dinner when we get back there tomorrow night, an occasion to which I am looking forward to. Many thanks!" The letter is typed on official White House letterhead. Signed with a casual "D.E." by the President in black fountain pen. In fine condition with some toning due to age and two hole punches at the top of the page. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
