Ty Cobb's playing style cannot be summed up in one word, but if we had to choose one, it would be nothing other than ferocious. The Georgia Peach would grace the diamond for over 20 years, amassing over 4000 hits & an incredible .366 lifetime batting average. Cobb would be the first player in Major League Baseball history to reach the 4000 hit milestone while always playing with an attitude. Offered here is a black & white 9.5" x 12.75" (quite large for a Cobb photo) image of an aging Cobb speaking at an event, signed in black ballpoint "To Beulah, 'In Sincere Friendship'". Quite the friendly inscription for a man known to be prickly! The photo is overall in fine condition with some handling wear to the edges and corners. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
