In the 10th inning of Game 6 in the 1986 World Series, Mookie Wilson fouled off several pitches before hitting a slow roller to Bill Buckner at first base. Aware of Wilson's speed, Buckner tried to rush the play. As a result, the ball rolled beside his glove, through his legs and into right field, allowing Ray Knight to score the winning run from second base to force a Game 7. The Mets went onto win their second World Championship in franchise history, while the Curse of the Bambino continued on for the Red Sox. Offered here is a Boston Red Sox jersey with a "Curse of the Bambino" nameplate signed by both Mookie Wilson and Bill Buckner, with Wilson adding the date of the play "10/25/86". In good condition. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
