A choice piece for the Ron Artest (aka Metta World Peace) fan, offered here is Artest's first ever Lakers game worn jersey. This particular jersey was worn by the controversial Laker forward on October 27, 2009 during a game between the Lakers and the Clippers at the Staples Center. In honor of the presentation of the NBA championship rings being presented to the Lakers that evening, the tean donned jerseys featuring a special 2009 NBA Champions commemorative patch (this patch was only featured on the jersey for this single game). White and purple tackle twill spell "Lakers 37" on the chest, with "Artest 37" appearing on verso. "Adidas" labeling in tail features the logos of the NBA and the Lakers, with four flap tags reading, "54, Climalite, 2009-2010, Length +4." Accompanying the jersey is a detailed letter of provenance from Kobe Bryant friend Dontey Walker who details how Artest gave him the jersey that evening following the game.
