Presented is a Paul McCartney single-signed Rawlings Official Major League Baseball (Selig). McCartney achieved his primary fame as a bass guitarist, composer, and singer with the Beatles.
He was the group's primary composer, along with John Lennon, and he usually shared lead vocals with Lennon. As for baseball, McCartney is a casual fan. According to a 2009 article from an
interview he did at Fenway Park published in the Boston Herald, McCartney is quoted as saying "Lorne Michaels (producer of Saturday Night Live) took me to my first game years ago. So, I
became a Yankees fan," Then McCartney, realizing he was in Fenway Park, playfully decided to switch his allegiance. "Oh, wait, OK," McCartney said. "I'm a Red Sox fan. That didn't sound too
creepy, did it?" said the musical legend. Then he laughed. McCartney signed the baseball, using a blue ballpoint pen, on a side panel. The signature is neatly written. There is a stain, about the
size of a small thumb print that slightly intersects with the signature. The McCartney autograph is bold. Except for the small stain, the ball is in overall excellent condition. The baseball comes
with a PSA/DNA LOA.
