Offered here is a one page letter in blue ballpoint pen in the hand of George Harrison on Friar Park, Henley-on-Thames letterhead paper, dated March 4th, 1986. The letter was sent to a gentleman named Mark Davies by George Harrison to thank him for hand-carrying his first expensive guitar - a 1957 Gretsch 6128 Duo Jet - which he'd given to his friend Klaus Voormann in the early sixties. Voormann was a friend of the Mark Davies and Harrison used this guitar the following year on the cover of his 'Cloud Nine' album released in 1987. Housed in the original Friar Park Envelope which George has addressed to Mark Davies. The letter reads:

‘Dear Mark,

Thanks again for bringing the guitar from Klaus. Its good to see it again after so many years.

If you want to send me a cassette sometime then do so – but I’m not very involved with record company’s these days-tho I’ll gladly listen.

The envelope measures 19cm x 10cm (7.5 inches x 4 inches). The letter measures 18.5cm x 26.6cm (7.2 inches x 10.5 inches). A stain in the center. The condition is very good. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Tracks LTD. as well as Beckett Authentication Services.
