The ONLY fully signed “Powerage” program known to exist!
Offered here is a spectacular AC/DC 'Powerage' tour program signed beautifully on the full color gatefold in black felt tip marker by all five original members of AC/DC: Bon Scott (adding a beautifully embellished “AC/DC” beneath his name), Angus Young (adding “To Danny from” above and “AC/DC” beneath his name), Malcolm Young, Cliff Williams (adding “AC/DC” beneath his name), and Phil Rudd. Bon Scott-era AC/DC signed pieces often have contrast issues making the signatures difficult to read. That is not the case with this program. Each of the signatures stand out boldly against the “Powerage”-themed yellow background. Plus, all five bandmembers have placed their signatures beautifully beside their respective images. It’s obvious this was signed in a controlled environment due to the quality of the signatures. The signatures were obtained during the UK leg of the ‘Powerage’ tour in Colchester, May 18th, 1978. At the time in which this program was signed, the ‘Powerage’ album had just been released in the UK less than two weeks earlier and would not be released in the U.S. for another week. In less than two years, the world would tragically lose legendary frontman Bon Scott. As a result, fully signed Bon Scott-era AC/DC programs are few and far between as Bon was not only wild during his stage performances, but also in his private life making him a very difficult autograph to obtain. To date, this is the ONLY example of a fully signed ‘Powerage’ tour program that we have encountered! A stunning Bon Scott-era piece of the highest order! Measures 8.25 inches x 11.5 inches closed with the fully signed gatefold opening to an impressive 16.5 inches x 11.5 inches!!! The program is in excellent condition!
