The Doors: Jim Morrison Signed Bail Bond Document for Historic 1969 Miami Concert Arrest (PSA/DNA Encapsulated)

This 7" x 8" cash bail bond, dated November 9th, 1969, has been personally signed by Jim Morrison in black ink. Morrison turned himself in to the FBI in Los Angeles on April 4, 1969 and vehemently denied the allegations. He was arrested on September 20th in Coconut Grove and on November 9, 1969 he entered a not guilty plea in Miami. This historical document is stamped by Dade County Florida Court Clerk, J.F. McCracken, on November 12th, 1969, and officially charges Morrison with several crimes including criminal lewd behavior, indecent exposure, open profanity, and public intoxication. Morrison was found guilty of all charges on September 20th, 1970, and ultimately sentenced to 6 months in a Florida Prison. While still out on bond, Morrison fled to France to avoid that prison sentence and never returned back to the United States. Jim Morrison was found dead in his Paris apartment on the morning of July 3rd, 1971, from heart failure due to a Heroin overdose. Like many other rock stars of that era who passed before their time - including Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin - Jim Morrison died at the young age of 27.
